Our committee members share the common interest of identifying and permanently honoring individuals who have achieved excellence in athletics in Walker County, as well as those who have contributed to the advancement of athletics either in Walker County, the State of Alabama, or on an even larger scale.  This endeavor encompasses almost 100 years of sports activity and our research has reinforced our belief in the need for a Walker County Sports Hall of Fame.
